Ministry of Commerce

Overview

The Ministry of Commerce is tasked with managing the economic operations of the overall Republic and subordinate groups to include fiefdoms, orders, artisan guilds and licensed companies. The Ministry also carries out trade missions and negotiations with other groups after the Executive Ministry has established diplomatic relations. Officers of the ministry include Podestas and Commerciantes.

Officers

• Podestas - Senior Officers of the Ministry of Commerce who oversee the daily operations of a village or city also known as a Mayor.
• Commerciantes - Officers who deal in collecting and assessing taxes, rent, fees and enforce civil economic law. Also handle the process to license artisan companies. Handle contracts on behalf of the government.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Taxation, Fees, Rents and Fines - May assess and collect fees as required by Common Law after a tribunal ruling or issue fines

• Licensing Artisan Companies - Inspects and procceses applications for licensed artisan companies

• Government Contracts - Issues and fulfills contracts as required by the other ministries to acquire equipment and materials
