Expedition of the Silver Sun's Roots

It was known that there was more to the Silver Sun Republic than the revolution against the Tindremic Empire, but the history had been lost as the Tindremic machine had all but erased any knowledge of it from the libraries and memories of its people. When the colonies entered open revolt it was the mysterious Ordo d'Argento who was thought to be nothing more than a religious cult that came out of the shadows to play a significant role in uniting the revolutionaries. While the Republic of the Silver Sun was being established in one of the city-states, a caravan was commissioned to travel deep into the jungles and across the deserts to learn and uncover the ancient roots of the new nation.

The Order revealed that a much older race had existed before the Tindremenes and many of the races we know today descended from them as the world aged. The heart and mind of the Republic was Tindremic, but its soul was born of different lineage. This expedition was formed to uncover the past so that the Silver Sun would truly know and understand its ancient meaning for the world of Nave.

Overview

Each member of the expedition has been brought there for a purpose not necessarily known to them. They may already have a purpose in mind, but fate may have something else in store for them. The Order will only provide a guide, but the rest is up to them. Each "day" of the expedition presents new events for the caravan to record in their own journal entries. Some clues will be presented to one or several members while others are given to the group. Everyone will participate in a single discussion while they record their personal thoughts in their journals. At the end of the journey all of the journals will be combined to tell the story of the Republic's ancient past. Who knows what secrets they will uncover, but that is part of the journey!

The leader of the expedition is a friar of the Order d'Argento named Orien Medici. Each day will begin with a journal entry from Orien's POV and followed up by each member with their version of the day's events. Members are encouraged to comment directly on the day based around details from Orien's entry, but may also add their own spin or minor events to flesh out their character.
