City-State

A city state exists as an independent and autonomous political entity, sometimes consisting of surrounding rural lands or smaller communes and villages, but mostly contained within a single metropolitan or incorporated limits of a single urban area. Within the Silver Sun Republic, individual urban centers may exercise a greater degree of autonomy than other groups or entities. Each City-State may elect its own Signoria and enact its own laws sometimes with conflicts between communes.
