The city of Gulghat served as the capital city for the Silver Sun Republic's [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkfall Darkfall Online] EU-1 campaign. It was situation along the eastern coast of the main continent and proved to be relatively easy to defend against sieges with its low laying terrain hindering enemy elevated positions. The simple outer curtain wall and inner keep defenses made consolidating forces a simple tactic.

As the Republic grew it expanded to include several other cities along the eastern coastline with Gulghat continuing to serve as an economic and political hub. Eventually it would be lost after several sieges bringing bittersweet glory to the Republic with its defenders being immortalized as the [[Griffons of Gulghat]].
